The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is responsible for enforcement of campus rules and regulations, building and asset security, and emergency response on the campus of Gettysburg College.
The department is comprised of 20 full-time officers and a contingent of between 10 and 15 part-time officers.
The department is supplemented during each academic year by student patrol staff who assist DPS officers in various operational tasks..
