Rock 'N Run/Walk 5k The Student Nurses’ Organization (SNO) at Great Basin College is a service oriented organization that strives to give back to the community through events such as: Festival of Trees, Northern Nevada Autism Network Easter Egg Hunt, Scarecrow Festival, and Trick or Treat Street.
Funds that are raised are donated back through various organizations such as the Thelma Trescartes Fund.
This fund provides the nursing students with scrubs, a stethoscope, and various medical supplies to help further their education and alleviate a portion of the financial stress.
SNO has provided financial assistance to its members to attend national, state, and local conferences and events such as the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) and the Nurse’s Day in the Legislature.
SNO’s main fundraiser is the Annual 5K Run.
