In Fall 2007, four individuals decided to be the first individuals to break the barrier of traditionalism and join an organization that is charged with uniqueness and difference.
These fellowmen, Yansen Debreau, Kevin Catnott, Patrick Calizaire, and Jason Smith, formulated the founding line and began the arduous quest of the establishment of the Great Dane Chapter lead by our chapter founder Isaiah Norman.
Since then, the Great Dane Chapter has produced four lines and and ten fellowmen which accounts for a total of sixteen members of the Great Dane Chapter..

Now, the Great Dane Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc.
has proved itself to be an illustrious and distinguished fraternal organization on the campus of SUNY Albany.
We the fellowmen of this Chapter have taken on an “Against all odds” mentality as we work hard to service our community while we educate our peers and fellow mates on social issues in the black communities and the world.
In Fall 2010, we started the Great Dane Chapter Groove Leadership Academy which is a mentoring program for college bound high school students to gain leadership qualities in learning how to make effective life decisions.
So we definitely stand alone, but not apart, working with other individuals and organization to strengthen our community..
