Detailed description is The HDHC offers equestrians an opportunity to test their skills at various riding disciplines in a casual setting, with a focus on horsemanship.
IS YOUR HORSEMANSHIP UP TO “THE CHALLENGE”?.

The annual HIGH DESERT HORSEMANSHIP CHALLENGE at the Broken Bit Ranch, Smith Valley, Nevada, combines the formats of both a clinic and a competition.
Over a series of five weekends, riders will participate in a clinic on their choice of Friday or Saturday (possibly Thursday, too, if necessary,) followed by a “show” on Sunday.
In this friendly competition they will then demonstrate the skills that they learned on the previous day.
Each weekend will feature different clinician teaching a specific riding discipline.
Prizes will be awarded for winners of each individual weekend challenge.
In addition, the series overall awards presentation will follow the final competition with Challenge Champion, Reserve Champion and Third place (or more!) awards for each division.
The divisions will be Youth, Adult Novice & Adult Open..

The Challenge entry fee will be $135 per weekend or $500 for all five.
Riders wishing to participate in a Saturday clinic only ($100 fee) or an individual weekend clinic/competition ($135 fee) are welcome.
Lunch each day is included.
Friends and family are welcome; a $10 cover charge will include food and beverages..
