Detailed description is IMRG Delaware Valley Chapter is a Fellowship of Motorcycle Enthusiasts who enjoy Group Rides, Activities, Events and Exclusive Member Benefits as a family OUR STORY: In April 2016 Cosmo's Indian of Trevose opened their doors and brought an exciting and coveted product to The Greater Delaware Valley. The 2016 Indian Motorcycle Co. Full Line Models. Oh they were a sight to see, all shined up in that Sprite but Modest Showroom. The smiles, the drooling chins, the intensity mounting. I myself, remember being in the showroom one week before they opened while a model photo shoot was just wrapping up to try to get my second glimpse of the Model Indian that stole my heart at another location, The 2016 Indian Springfield! although I did not wind up purchasing a 2016 Springfield from Cosmo's for another 9 months later, it wound up being a 2017 Model; lots of folks discovered what I eventually found, the purchase of their dream Indian Model Bike. If their experience was anything like ne they had their emotions stirred not only by the "Work Of Art" Machine they had purchased, also, by the unique experience of dealing with some of the most stress-free staff in the industry. As soon as I bought my bike, I started meeting people from all walks of life in our area who also purchased bikes, once the buzz of prideful shop talk regarding the machine, dealer installed accessories, and swag eagerly purchased was out of the way, talk and buzz quickly turned to, "Hey what is this IMRG thing"? How can I sign up? Why don't we have one"? etc. If you were like me, you went to Indian's Website and tried to join and quickly got referred back to your selling dealer. Not being put off we found each other, we found each other at the service counter asking Jimmy or Bill multiple questions they patiently answered even though their respective workloads demanded their attention else where. At least that's how I remembering meeting Glen. Glen and I talked exchanged numbers and agreed to ride together. And he called a week later and that was my first tandem ride. The BLT we ate for lunch after we took the pics of his Radiant Roadmaster and my Sexy Springfield on Mill Street in Bristol, tasted better than any one I've had prior or since, it was the moment, the good times, the Camaraderie; we had arrived we were INDIAN OWNERS. We found each other; we found each other hovering over the Apparel Counter harassing Candy, who was all to eager to entertain us, give us chocolates or oranges; and explain why we needed certain safety oriented gear, and swag of course. We found ourselves chatting up the Bike Sales staff, who trying to help other prospective Indian Owners. And finally we found each other, we found each other talking to Spencer, and demanding answers he quite obviously was not authorized to give. But thank God for Spencer and Thank God for his perseverance w/ our anxiousness and incessant ramblings of want; of want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Because Low and Behold that Fateful Day in March of 2017 I got the call, it was Spencer, he said, "what are you up to today"?, I said, "well I just got my jeans to zipper up over the 4 layers of under garments I put on to ride that cold day". He said, "Great ride up here, I have something to tell you". When I arrived you could imagine my excitement when he disclosed that the IMRG was finally forming and we had an impromptu upcoming Group Ride organized by Joe, and I was like who the Hell is Joe? I had met Joe the week before but forgot in my child-like, day-before Christmas Frenzy. And then I went on to meet Harvey (my personal favorite) he keeps me in line I look at him like the ties the bind, and keep us grounded. And there's Steve, our counter weight. And damned if that first group ride to AC and Pt Pleasant Beach didn't turn to rain while we were down there. But, truthfully, even though it was my first time riding in the rain and I was scared S&%t-less; we were somebody's, we rode our Indian's out on the Open Road in Americana Form, like the Renegade Raiding Party we were meant to be. God Bless Elliot, for stilling my apprehensions about going on with the group at that Candy Store stop. Thank you my friend for making me the Happiest guy on the planet by fulfilling my life-long dream, handing me the keys to my first Brand New piece of American Iron! The best salesman in the biz. Yeah, I guess we're a Rag-Tag, Group of Yahoo's! A Melting Pot of Personalities running to Extremes at times. We clash here and there, and we don't always see eye-to-eye, the lot of us: Customers, Owners, Service and Employees, I literally well up as I pen this line, We are FAMILY! And to some of us, like myself, the only family we got. Well I imagine every IMRG Nationwide has'm an Ole'Doug, or Harvey, or Steve or Glen or Candy or Joe or Jeff or Jimmy or Bill. We are a Motley Crew we are people who normally would not mix; but we are the folks that blazed the trail; the die is cast and the IMRG Delaware Valley is Rolling. No matter what's going on, when we Shut Up, Show Up, Saddle Up and Fire Up these Thunderstroke 111's and Scout engines; all that dissipates, the intensity mounts, and smiles take our faces; we have a Bond, and as we Idle out, Candy and the other's looking on and snapping pics, waving us happy landings and safe returns, We Are One! We Are Legendary, We Are IMRG Delaware Valley Chapter! That's OUR STORY! What's YOURS? Maybe you haven't written it yet, maybe your stuck in writer's block round mid-penmanship, wherever your from and whatever you ride why don't you devote a Chapter of Your Book to IMRG Delaware Valley Chapter, you just may find yourself completing Your Masterpiece Novel! Just don't Judge us on the Chapter you walked in on!!! . . Respectfully Submitted,. . Doug Duncan, Secretary . IMRG Delaware Valley Chapter "Original"
