Detailed description is My name is John House and I am a certified History Teacher, counselor, tutor and father.
I provide classes, tutoring and mentoring to adolescents.

My name is John House Wilson and I am a certified Social Studies Teacher, youth counselor, tutor and father.
Beginning this January I will be offering a number of courses for young adults in the Hudson Valley that will explore the social sciences using graphic novels, literature, and texts.
These courses will help students develop critical thinking skills, strengthen their writing and deepen their understanding of politics, culture, identity and community.
They will also engage young people in a meaningful dialogue about their lives, aspirations, concerns and their future.
The classes will mirror a college classroom environment with an emphasis on document analysis, deep literacy, discussion and active listening.
Students will also sharpen their ability to construct, research and develop a thesis and to write clearly and concisely.
