My mom’s father was a photographer.
He died before I was born, but I have several of his photographs framed and hanging on my walls.
So I guess you could say “it’s in my genes”.
I’ve always loved photography, but began my “official” journey to this career, and this business about five years ago.
I’ve finally finished my Bachelor’s degree in photography, with a minor in print media.
Not that a degree is necessary when you own your business, but gosh did it feel nice to see all my hard work pay off!.

In the past five years I’ve learned a ton about myself.
Things like how determined and driven I am (aka STUBBORN).
And that I’m really great at procrastinating sometimes.
Or how much I love guacamole..
But the most amazing thing that I’ve learned about myself is my special gift of sight.
Not just my eyesight (actually I’m slightly nearsighted and wear contacts or glasses most of the time..) My true gift is my ability to quickly see a person’s true being.
Their soul, their energy, their zest for life and love for their family and friends.
It’s really cool to feel like I know someone so well only shortly after meeting them for the first time.
But the best part is being able to photograph the beauty that I see in them..

So that’s a brief introduction about where I am on my journey called life.
I recognized my talents, spent time educating myself about photography, business and design, started my business and now I’m busy capturing my view of the world and the beautiful souls in it.
(and teaching others how to, also!).

And I’d like to be your personal photographer.
