On November 10, 2013 an application was submitted to the FCC for a Construction Permit for a non commercial, low power, FM radio station license in Mena, AR.
On February 10, 2014 the FCC granted a Construction Permit to Community Radio, Inc.
to build a a non commercial, low power, FM radio station in Mena, AR and operate at 100 Watts ERP on 95.5 MHz.
On February 15, 2014 the call sign of KAWX-LP was requested.
