Kids Hope USA is a ministry of Mt.
Pleasant Community Church in which over 50 caring adults mentor children at Pullen Elementary School.
In July 2010, Mount Pleasant Community Church began developing a KIDS HOPE USA partnership with Pullen Elementary School.
In January 2011, 14 adult mentors began meeting with 14 at-risk first-graders for one hour per week at Pullen.
Almost immediately, the teachers and principal at Pullen noticed that the children were impacted by those relationships.
The weekly visits give the kids something to look forward to because each kid knows that the mentor is there to see JUST ME.
In the Fall of 2012, Kids Hope USA had over 50 volunteer mentors reaching into the lives of kids at Pullen.
