He later started Lakeshore Contacting and with hard work and dedication grew his contracting company to over 100 pieces of equipment.

Cardinal was one of the founding fathers of the Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association(NAABA).
They came up with the idea of an association to represent all aboriginal companies in Northern Alberta.
