Detailed description is Spanish Language classes designed to build communication skills on the path to proficiency.
Leslie Kronemeyer, the instructor of the camp, has over 15 years in public school teaching ranging from pre-school to high school aged students.
Her most recent teaching assignment is teaching Spanish at Mainland Regional high school.
In making the transition to high school as a Spanish teacher, Leslie recognize the thrill of learning a new language was missing from her classroom.

Leslie began to research effective language teaching and discovered teachers using stories to teach Spanish.
Her background in Elementary Education immediately sparked an interest in the idea of teaching with stories.
Leslie began her training by attending the National Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling conference in the summer of 2015.
She has since incorporate many different comprehensible input strategies into her classroom.
Leslie spends countless hours attending national conferences, one day workshops and local Tri-State professional learning meetings.
Last summer she attended the International Forum of Language Teaching (iFLT) and the National Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (NTPRS).
She is trained as a teacher-trainer and has presented in local teacher trainings.

The idea of a summer camp was born from a mini-lesson that Leslie presented to her son’s fourth grade class.
The pride the students felt after being able to read and understand Spanish after 45 minutes initiated the development of the Language Learning Lab..
