Detailed description is Since 2009, members in our AmeriCorps*State program have been providing services to individuals who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness Welcome to the page for Michigan's Campaign to End Homelessness AmeriCorps Program! We are an AmeriCorps*State program that has been in existence since 2008, with the first members beginning service in January 2009.
The program is based on Lansing; however, our members serve in communities across the entire state of Michigan..

Members serving in our program can be full-time (1700 hours) or half-time (900 hours).
Service is focused on the areas below:.
OUTREACH -- Identifying homeless or at-risk individuals in need.
HOUSING ASSISTANCE -- Assessing barriers to housing and providing direct assistance in securing safe, affordable housing.
RESOURCE NETWORKING -- Connecting consumers to the mainstream benefits they may be eligible for.
FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT -- Lending support to those who have been stably and safely housed.
VOLUNTEER GENERATION -- Recruiting volunteers for the host agency or volunteer driven events, like Project Homeless Connect..
