At Monroe Foot Care, our minimally invasive surgeries allow our patients to walk into our office for the procedure and then walk out; going home in 1-2 hours.
As a general rule, our patients have their surgery performed on a Friday and are able to return to work on a Monday with minimal discomfort..

Because this technique is much less invasive than traditional surgery, the postoperative follow-up is much more comfortable.
With this technique, we do not use any pins, staples, wires, or screws.
The procedure does require 2-3 stitches which are removed in 1 week.
Postoperative pain is controlled with medications such as therapeutic doses of Motrin or Aleve.
Tylenol with codeine is given as a back-up.
