Detailed description is Page facebook officielle du Musée du Fort Saint-Jean Le Musée du Fort Saint-Jean présente 350 ans d’histoire militaire sur le site du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, lequel fut témoin du passage de guerriers amérindiens, de troupes françaises et anglaises, de révolutionnaires américains et de plusieurs unités canadiennes.
Situé au bord de la rivière Richelieu, ce site fut déclaré Lieu historique national du Canada en raison des trois forts qui y ont été construits et de l’importance du rôle qu’il joua pendant l’invasion américaine de 1775, durant laquelle le fort Saint-Jean subit un siège de 45 jours.
Le musée retrace l’histoire de ce site patrimonial qui constitue, avec la ville de Québec, le site ayant connu la plus longue période d’occupation militaire depuis le Régime français au Canada.
L’exposition présente cette histoire par le biais de cartes thématiques, de maquettes, d’uniformes, d’armes, d’artéfacts et de documents d’archives.

Fort Saint-Jean Museum offers 350 years of military history on the site of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, which witnessed the passage of Amerindian warriors, French and British troops, American revolutionaries, and several Canadian units.
Located alongside the Richelieu River, this site was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada because of the three forts it housed and of the major role it played in the 1775 American invasion, during which the fort withstood a 45-day siege.
