The Oroville Police Department re established a K-9 program in 2007 with the arrival of Barricade who is affectionately known as “Bear.” Members of the K9 team raised funds from the local community to .
revitalize the program.
Currently the K9 Unit has 2 dogs, Bosco & ZBO.

Our goal is to raise enough money to help keep the program alive and to pay for much needed training for our dogs, specifically to get them trained for Narcotic Detection.
Narcotic Detection training runs about $10,000 and the program itself needs to raise $27,000 per year to keep up with certifications, food, lodging, and necessary veterinary check ups and vaccinations.
