Detailed description is Outdoor Adventure offers student's at TAMU- Commerce, as well as Commerce community members, a way to stay active by embracing the outdoors.
The Outdoor Adventure Program is just one aspect of Campus Recreation.
It encompasses several components:.

The climbing wall, located in the Morris Recreation Center, which is open Mon- Thurs: 2pm to 9pm, Fri: 1pm to 8pm, Sat: 12pm to 5pm, Sun: 1pm to 6pm.

Northeast Texas Team Building, more commonly known as the Challenge Course, is located on Culver St past the Walmart.
This is where student organizations, church youth groups, corporate staff trainings, and etc.
come to work on leadership and team building skills.

"How To" Clinics that teach fundamentals of outdoor activities, such as cooking in a Dutch Oven, slack lining, bike maintenance, star gazing and s'mores, kite flying, kayak rolling, lead climbing, knots for climbing, and climbing technique.

Outdoor Trips such as Family Campouts, Paddling, Climbing, Nature Hiking, Sailing, Fly Fishing, Backpacking, Caving, Snowboarding/Skiing, and Beach Trips around the Texas-Arkansas-Oklahoma-New Mexico area..

Gear Rentals allow students to take trips independently with high quality gear.
Our gear center is also located between the Commerce High School and Cain Sport's Complex.
Gear center hours are Mon-Fri: 3pm to 6pm.

Cycling trips happen every Tuesday at 3:30pm from the OAC.
They range between 20 miles and 8 miles.
The gear center also offers Bike Maintenance and Rentals.

Disc Golf has taken a hold of the campus with a brand new 9 hole course out at the OAC.
Maps and discs are provided in the blue bin located on the west side of the building.
