About Me: My name is Mara Tingley and I have lived in Denver since 2009.
After receiving my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, I began working at a therapeutic horseback riding facility in Massachusetts.
Hoping to expand my horizons and feed my continuous desire to learn, I began attending the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA a few years later and graduated in 2007.
I practiced massage full time in my hometown of Raleigh, NC for two years and also completed Bancroft's Animal Massage training distance program and had a small business providing massage to many dog clients in the area.
It was from this program that my desire to become a veterinary technician came about.
So, in 2009, I moved to Denver and attended the Bel-Rea Institute.
I worked my way through school doing massage (on humans!) in Denver and graduated in 2011 with my Associates degree.
Since then, I have been working as a veterinary nurse in Denver and now divide my time between veterinary nursing and pet massage..
