Jared Pike is professional swimmer from Johannesburg, South Africa who came to the USA on a swimming scholarship first at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida and then to Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Jared graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Exercise Science in 2014 and has since continued to pursue swimming and coaching in the United States.
During his collegiate swimming career, Pike was part of two of FSU’s highest performing relay teams in school history at the NCAA championships in 2014, was a 13- time NCAA All-American Athlete, and received the of the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s All-American Athlete of the Year award in 2014.
Pike has also continued to compete for his home country of South Africa and has been ranked in the top 5 senior breaststroke swimmers in South Africa for the past 7 years.
Pike is a former Junior African and South African champion and medalist in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke events for both long and short course.
As a member of the South African National Swim Team, Pike has had the opportunity to train and compete around the world in locations such as Spain, Australia, Hungary, Mauritius, and France.
Jared’s other passions include strength conditioning, nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle.
He is currently coaching in the Tallahassee area while training for the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast of Australia in April 2018.
