Born Matthew Kisthart in Malden, Mass back in 1988, he learned at a really young age who he wanted to be.
He understood music as a child and the melodic sounds attracted him anytime they were exuted into the atmosphere.
When he began rapping at a ripe age of 12 years old, he struggled to find his place.
Amongst the older kids, he seemed to never stand a chance.
After battling amongst friends, one of the older MC's called him out at Everett High School during the lunch period.
Problemattik, then using the name Chaos, held his own with the older spitter and gained respect amongst his peers.
Rap wasn't a big factor at this point, where Matthew started skipping school and being placed on a probation program through his high school.
Officer supervision made it hard to do what he wanted to do .
After dropping out of high school at 16, Matthew wasted no time and received his G.E.D.
and drivers license shortly after .
Working job to job while friends were still in school was a difficult reality to face.
He began to dabble with minor street drugs, using marijuana and selling it as well.
Rap was a social thing at this point.
Parties and get togethers were a Graceland for the homies to freestyle and battle.
Time seemed to pass and rap seemed to slip away.
One night at a house party at a friends house Problemattik was asked to spit a verse in front of the people attending.
At this time he had no stage name and very little written material.
At first he was hesitant but knew he had to do it.
Once he finished everyone shocked at what he put forth.
The girls father approached him and told him to pursue a career in music.
A couple years later under the stage name Big$hot, Matt released his first mixtape titled " The #1 Contender", because of his love for Boxing.
He booked his first show and sold out the capacity.
Now operating under the monicar Problemattik, he has successfully released an EP titled Problem Child and two group mixtapes with his label Freshbaked Music Group .
Problemattik has worked with the likes of Block McCloud, Reks, Thirstin Howl the 3rd, Big Shug, Arichussettes, Cappadonna, The White Shadow of Norway, and many more.
He has appeared in videos such as Termanology - Up Every Night making a guest cameo .
Matthew has made multiple appearances on stage doing tour stops with Twiztid and Majik Ninja Entertainment, Kotton Mouth Kings, K Camp, El Da Sensai, Rustee Juxx, Sick Jacken, Krumbsnatcha, Slaine, AOTP, and many other big names in the underground.
Hes set to release his upcoming solo mixtape titled Sounds of the City in July! .
