In September 1946, four men expressed interest in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
This interest developed into an authorized initiation under the supervision of the Second District Representative, Brother Mifflin T Gibbs.

Early in 1946, William Fountain, James C.
Hardcastle, Wayman Scott and W Richard Wynder all became pledgees of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Brother Theodore Wells was appointed neophyte commandant by the District Representative.
Brothers Leroy Easterly, Richard Walker and Eldridge Waters assisted Brother Wells in the initiation process.
Chamberlains for each neophyte was chosen from Mu Chapter in Philadelphia, PA..

Prior to the day of initiation, due to health reasons, William Fountain, dropped out.
The Formal initiation of the three Neophytes was held on the third Weekend of October 1946 in Philadelphia, PA through the office of the National Executive Secretary, Brother H.
Carl Moultrie.
The three new members were assigned to the Graduate Chapter located in the Third District of the Fraternity.
Through the efforts of Brother Gibbs and Brother Moultrie, the three new men and the chapter were reassigned to the Second District.
