Detailed description is Rescuer's Relief's mission is to travel North America, helping home based ferret and small wildlife rescuers; especially those facing caregiver burnout.
For several years I owned and operated Wind & Willows Ferret Rescue.
We have dedicated our energies toward taking care of ferrets in Northern Nevada.

Sept 2012, I landed in the hospital with a stress induced heart attack.
I was blessed to already have a network of friends and volunteers that could step up and step in while I healed.
But, I began to worry about the other rescuers.
After much thought and family discussion, we decided we needed to “Rescue the Rescuers”.

was created to provide an opportunity for dedicated ferret rescuers to take a much needed respite.

We have recently started our third year on the road.

Our missionis been funded 100% by small donations, auctions and fundraisers within the ferret and animal rescue communities.
Sponsorships range from $1 a month Membership cards, to $100 Hearts of GOLD individual sponsors, to Business sponsorships from $250 and up...
