Detailed description is A small, multi-generational family farm in the spectacular Robson Valley with a passion for Heritage breeds, sustainability, good food, and community.
Farming has been our dream since we were little kids playing with tractors and plastic cows on the livingroom floor.
The simple life, the big red barn, the overflowing garden, the milk cow & the chickens & the pigs.
And the midnight calving checks, battles with the elements, and inevitable losses, too.
In June of 2013, that dream came to fruition when we made our big move from the hectic bustle of Alberta to the family farm in Dunster, BC.
A year and a half later, we took ownership - and River Bottom Farm was officially born.

We believe that a healthy farm is an ecosystem, not a monoculture.
Every crop and creature at River Bottom works together.
The cows use their magical digestive powers to convert forage into meat and milk, fertilizing as they go.
The pigs are our rototillers; they run on excess dairy products and garden scraps.
The chickens and ducks eat every bug they can get their beaks on and turn them into beautiful, rich, orange-yolked eggs.
The rabbits happily devour anything green and bless us with wonderful manure for the garden.
We all feed the land - in one way or another - and the land feeds all of us..
