Welcome to our facebook page! As you can see, Waldo - our primary stallion at stud - is a very good looking Dark Blue Roan Stud.
He has an exceptionally good disposition, great muscle and bone which he consistently passes to his colts..

It is our mission to produce the best looking/using horses that are easy to train.
We purposely try to produce good quality horses (not quantity) that have that Blue Roan or Black color as a bonus.
Waldo fits the bill for us.
He is a strong, athletic, stout type ranch horse with that good old Hancock - Driftwood breeding.
His breeding is a combination of two great ranches; The Haythorn, and The Four 6’s.
He was named after Waldo Haythorn.
I think it’s Waldo’s breeding and disposition that produces his good colts.
Waldos Top Hand has built a name for himself by producing very good ranch and roping horses.
His colts are so good that some people have paid $20,000 or more for one of them.
He has been color tested EE Homozygous for the black gene.
This means that “he can not produce a red foal regardless the color of the mare” (UC Davis).
His black color does not fade in the summer sun.
The horses we raise and train here in Montana, above 5,000 feet, are ridden in the mountains and started on cattle.
