Shea is a 9 1/2 year veteran of the United States Army, during which he spent several years serving in one of the most prestigious horse units in our nation.

During his time with the Fort Carson Mounted Color Guard, he served in a variety of roles including lead rider and lead trainer responsible for training mounted personnel.
Shea has never been drawn to showing, but he has extensive training and starting experience with a wide range of horses, including wild mustangs and rescues.
