Shipshape Urban Farms was developed by gulf coast natives Dale and Angela Speetjens.
Dale spent several years in the US Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dale and Angela are graduates of Auburn University.
Dale graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors of environmental design and a masters in both landscape architecture and urban planning.
Angela also graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors degree in horticulture focusing on fruit and vegetable production.
During her time at Auburn University, Angela conducted research in hydroponic vegetable production.

Prior to starting Shipshape Urban Farms, Dale worked for Mobile's Bloomberg Innovation Team and as an adjunct professor for Auburn University's College of Architecture, Design, and Construction.
