On July 3, 2015 I lost my mom to a six year battle with breast cancer.
This loss was life changing for me.
I had never thought so hard and so long about the way I was living my life, which included the way I treated my family, friends and myself.
For about the first year I felt as if I was in a fog much of the time, consumed by grief, and had about every feeling imaginable.
I realized finally that I needed to pull myself back up and “make lemonade” from the lemons I had been handed..
I have always been the type of person who questions things, especially when something bad happens.
I was scared to death that my daughter would end up without a mother much too soon as well because of cancer.
After much research about family history of breast cancer and possible causes of breast cancer I came to the conclusion and I fully believe that my mom’s cancer was caused by environmental factors.
I had heard a few times in the past about anti-perspirants containing aluminum being a possible cause of breast cancer, but had never done much research on it.
After reading extensively on this subject and also on the many chemicals that are in our every day health, beauty and cleaning products, I was shocked to find out what some of those chemicals (most of which I couldn’t even pronounce and were in just about every cleaning product I owned) could be doing to my body and more importantly, my loved ones bodies.
That day I made it my mission to make my home chemical-free.

I also began to educate myself on the use of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils and realized their amazing health benefits.
I started making my own deodorant, lip balm, body butter and hand soap with the oils and it soon became my hobby.
I realized I had a passion for making things my family and friends could use and feel good about.
