Detailed description is We raise registered shetland sheep on the hillsides of our farm in Northeast Missouri.
Our goal is to promote and preserve this unique primitive breed.
Shetlands are a wonderful small breed originally from the Shetland Islands of Scotland.
Their wool is sought for handspinning and comes in many different colors.
We raise our sheep as Mother Nature would.
We breed them around the 1st of November, so our lambs are born in April when the grass is starting.
The lambs stay with their mothers on pasture until they are naturally weaned.
We feed hay in the winter that we raise on our farm and a small amount of grain every day, mainly so we can socialize with the sheep.
We usually have rams, ewes, and lambs for sale
