Detailed description is This page is for fellow hams in the area use our tri force repeater system,3 repeaters linked by echo link and also RF links.
STRS is a small repeater system located in Northern IL and Sothern WIS.
The systems is comprised of 3 main repeaters KB9JXZ 442.7625 + SHIFT 88.5 PL (analog & DMR), KB9LPP 440.84375 + SHIFT 88.5 PL (analog & DMR), and KC9CUK 443.9375 + SHIFT 88.5 PL (analog & Fusion).
When using any of the repeaters on analog you will be keying up all the repeaters and will also RX all analog repeater traffic no matter which repeater you are monitoring.
The repeaters are only linked analog so if you are talking on digital DMR or Fusion you will only be keying up the repeater you are on, until you go back to analog.
We also have Echolink enabled on the system this is analog only of course.
It is a locked system you have to email us your call sign if you would like to be added to the user list and we will give you the Echolink node to connect.
Because of the multiple modes and systems there are a couple things to keep in mind when using STRS.
On KC9CUK you will not get a squelch tail or a beep/curtsy tone so it will be hard to know if you are getting in unless someone responds to you, or you are monitoring yourself on one of the other repeaters or Echolink.
(this is temporary and it will be resolved soon) You will not hear the sql tail, ID, or beeps from the other repeaters on the system so when you un key u must give a 1 second delay before transmitting again (no quick keying) this will also get better in the near future.
