Both my parents exude a love for expression.
I was exposed to the idea of creative freedom at a very young age and have since been constantly enthralled in one form of art or another.
Photography struck me a few years ago and I haven't been able to put the camera down since.
I find an unexpected combination of peace and exhilaration when I am photographing.

A few years ago I became seriously interested in photography and began shooting in film and digital images.
Due largely in part to those around me who support and encourage me, I have been able to grow and learn, refining my eye along the way.
Soon after I began taking pictures I found myself looking at things differently, always looking for a good shot , always looking for something that wasn't necessarily pretty but instead visually interesting.

I am motivated by a profound desire to challenge societal standards that say a person or thing must be one way or another.

I always have wheels turning about the next shoot I will get to do and the next people I will get to work with.
One of my biggest challenges is finding the means to fulfill the image that I want to create.
I enjoy creating images that are out of the ordinary, that challenge the viewer to think a little differently and that are as emotionally and mentally stimulating as they are visually so.
On the other end of the spectrum I also enjoy capturing candid moments in nature as well as with people.
There is something very sweet about freezing a moment of a child running around or capturing the simplicity of a single flower before it dies.

Moving forward I hope to study photography under those who are more well versed in the art and be able to learn from them and apply their techniques to mine with the end result of becoming a well rounded and versatile photographer.
