Detailed description is SWICS was informally created in 2011, and chartered in 2013.
Women have been, and continue to be, underrepresented in the field of CS.
Our purpose is to create a supportive community for women in Computer Science as one way to change this trend.
WiCS hosts workshops, brings in guest speakers, sends teams to hackathons, and helps connect people to internship and scholarship opportunities.
WiCS members can also choose to participate in our mentorship and/or a big/little sib programs which connect current students with alums and other students to build relationships and provide support.
