Detailed description is I make custom knives for hunting, fishing, utility, and display.
These knives are made to be used and can withstand the beating of Alaska! I got into knife making because i got tired of paying $100.00 or more for custom knives that would fall apart after one season of hunting and then told the knife was constructed to be a show knife not a working knife.
So i set out to teach myself how to make a knife that would look good and also hold up to my own abuse.
I use either knife blanks or grind from billet to make my knives.
I do this to try to keep the cost down.
I only use top steel knife blanks out of 440c stainless steel.
My knife handles can be antler, wood or whatever i think will be unique looking.
I personally stabilize and dye all my own wood.
The construction of my knife handles are with heavy duty adhesive and rivets or screws and i seal all my handles.
All my sheaths are custom made for each knife and made by me and hand sewn.
My goal was to learn to make and construct an Alaska and tater proof knife that also looks pretty good.
Some might not think I’m there yet, but i would say I’m getting there.
I am getting better with each knife I make and I guarantee that you can use my knives to skin a moose or fillet a halibut day in and day out, because that is what I make them for, not to hang on the wall or display on the mantle.
