THSU was established in 1990.
Our goal is not just to be another school of acupuncture but rather to emphasize the traditional and classical understanding of Chinese medicine.
THSU is heralded as one of a few acupuncture programs to teach from the classics such as the Shang Han Lun, Golden Chamber, and Four Streams of Scholars which gives students a solid foundation in classical traditional Chinese medicine.
With this foundation, our graduates provide patients with a comprehensive treatment program that integrates their knowledge of acupuncture, herbology, qigong and tuina.
