The concept grew out of my own unexpected need to find immediate, affordable, long term housing for my boys – Toby and Trooper.
In late 2015, after twenty plus years away - I returned home to Tompkins County, New York to be closer to family for health reasons.

Prior to moving, I happily spent the bulk of my free time at the local dog park, on endlessly walks throughout my neighborhood and being reminded that belly rubs should never end.
I knew first hand the physical and emotional benefits my dogs brought to my life – particularly by remaining active and social and avoiding the loneliness and isolation that plagues so many with similar mobility issues.
