For starters God is the center of our lives.
Everything we do, we do to glorify his name..
I have nearly twenty years of experience in the wild.
I am a Marine Veteran, I served 4 years in the Marine Corps as a LAAD Gunner..
My father was in the Coast Guard so I grew up moving all over the country.
I spent 3 years in Wisconsin, and 7 years in Alaska, where survival was a way of life, every child there grew up learning how to survive if the poo hit the fan.
It was those two places that made me fall in love with the wilderness, and realize the power and awesome grace of God.
I spent every second I could, wandering around in the woods.
My father taught me how to hunt and fish in Alaska, but with that came the realization bad things can happen in the woods.
So my father spent countless hours training me how to survive if I were to become separated or lost while enjoying God's creation..
As I grew up and moved away from Alaska I never lost my love of God and the wild.
I spent as much time as I could in the woods..
When I was 24 I met the Love of my life, my future wife and her daughter.
I also joined the Marine Corps.
that year, to serve my country the best way I could think of.
I went the Paris Island for basic training.
Shortly after I married my wife, and became the happiest man on earth.
By chance I was lucky enough to never have to deploy, because of a back injury sustained during training.
In 2009 God blessed us with our second daughter, and in 2010 God blessed us again with our third daughter.
I also finished my time in the Marine Corps.
that year, and we moved back to Ohio where we have been ever since..
Nearly my entire life I have been fascinated with the wild, and believe it to be the best place to worship our Lord God.
My hope with this school is to share our love of the outdoors but to also share with you our love of God and his love for you as well..
We are starting this school because we know there are a lot of people out there who may be wanting to get outdoors, and we want you to know what to do if ever you should get lost.
We ask that you please let us serve you, so that if you should ever have an emergency in the wild, you will have the skills and tools need to survive..
Our first courses will begin in June 2015, we hope to be able to serve you.
