Detailed description is A living museum of plants situated on the beautiful 48 acre campus of Elmhurst College The Arboretum began as a vision of Herb Licht and Ragnar Moen in 1966 to transform the stark landscape of Elmhurst College into a diverse collection of plants.
Today the Arboretum contains over 880 trees and numerous varieties of shrubs and perennials that are situated throughout the 48 acre campus.
The collection ranges from the rare, unique specimen to the most common oaks and maples used in today's landscapes..
