Detailed description is This will be Lakeside Middle School's final year! Lakeside Middle School and Robert Anderson Middle School will merge for the 2017-2018 school year.
Lakeside Middle School, formerly Lakeside Junior High School, opened its doors for the first time in the fall of 1962.
Lakeside will be opening its doors for the final time on June 6th, 2017, after which it will be torn down to make way for a new vision that Anderson School District 5 has for the property, the students, and the surrounding community..

One Sunday May 21st, 2017 we will have a special program that will be open to the public where we will recognize all that Lakeside Middle School has meant to the community of Anderson, South Carolina.
We will also honor those who have been tremendous leaders, contributors, and distinguished alumni of Lakeside.
