--The Davenport Hotel was built in 1914 by J.G.
Anthony.
--November 17, 1925 a fire destroyed part of the hotel.
--1937 The hotel became a Jockey Club with Jazz Musicians.
--Just before WW1 the Davenport Hotel was said to have had Prohibition Era Bootlegger that may have had a hand in the fire of 1925, that may also may have taken the lives of some of the women working in the (said to be) brothel (2nd floor)..
