Detailed description is The Lodge is used by the Richard Family and Friends for parties, celebrations, and events.
As the family grew and our house would not hold everyone, we kept saying when we get enough money we wil1 build us a meeting place.
One Christmas the children said lets build us a place for dinners and meetings.
We had very little money.
So I made a suggestion we will sell stock to raise money.
Each one the same amount and the ones that did not have the money could work it out and it was agreed.
The building would be logs and large enough for the whole family to be together.
Mike cut the logs for rough framing and others worked on the building.
When it was finished we had to borrow $8000.00 from the bank to finish paying for it.
This was paid off in about 5 years..
We called our building the Richard Lodge.
It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen, family room with space to seat about 100 people.
It is used by an the family, you must sign up for your time on a calendar.
Christmas and all special days are reserved for all the family and cannot be used by individuals.
When invited by a family member the Richard Lodge is used by churches and civic organizations.
