Detailed description is Mom of three, who has decided to change her life and start getting healthy.
Recently became a certified personal trainer and now my goal is to motivate you I was a stay at home mom who has tried every weight loss gimmick you can think of.
I had no success with any of them and eventually just gave up.
I gave up on everything in life.
I often refer to the way I was as "mean mom syndrome".
I wasn't happy with my life so I took it out on my kids.
The smallest things would set me off, I would lose my mind all day and spend the night laying in bed feeling guilty.
So what magical thing happened to me that changed it all? well I wish I had the answer to that question.
I guess I hit rock bottom! I remember the exact day I decided I was going to change.
I sat in my living room on my couch and cried.
I cried tears of shame for letting myself get this far, tears of guilt for what I put my family through and lastly tears of hope! I made a promise to myself that day that I would never let myself get this low in my life again.
That same week I joined a kid friendly gym.
I dragged two of my three kids there everyday, 5 days a week.
There were days where I didn't want to leave my couch, days were I wanted to go through McDonalds drive through and order 5 meals and just let go.
I didn't though! I didn't give up because for the first time in my life I felt I had control of my out of control self.
I felt like I was choosing how my life was going to play out.
But most of all, I didn't give up because I had three little girls watching my every single move.
I had three beautiful young girls who were so interested in my new habits, what I was eating, what a burpee was! I knew I had to show them I could do this.
I had to show them that if you want something you work hard for it and you will succeed.
I cant even express into words how much my life has changed since my weight loss.
I am currently down 55 pounds and I've lost 7% body fat.
The thing is, my life didn't just change when I reached my 50 pound goal.
My life changed the day I sat on my couch crying.
The day I hit rock bottom is the last time I felt hopeless, lost and ashamed.
That's the most important lesson I learned with my weight loss journey, happiness comes from within not from the number on the scale.
