Founded in 1983, only fours years after ABEM sanctioned the creation of Emergency Medicine residency programs, we have been training Emergency Medicine physicians for close to 30 years.
UAMS is Arkansas’ only Level 1 Trauma Center..

Past residents have gone on to be everything from small town emergency physicians to chairpersons of both academic and private practice emergency departments.
