Our missionaries, Durga and her Sujeeth her husband, live in India and lead several programs for children, widows and needy families.
Durga has a Bachelors degree in Education and a Masters degree.
She worked as a Teacher for several years.
In our UwH's Happy Hearts Children's Ministry and Learning Center Program, Durga teaches the children basic English, has a new fun activity each week for the children to learn and offers a prayer session and Bible lesson weekly.
In addition, each child receives fruit to take home to their families.
The program started April 9, 2016 and each week new children join the program.
Within six months more than 60 children joined the program.
We have a few children waiting to be sponsored.
The sponsorship fee is $10 monthly and new photos are posted weekly.
