When it was announced that the company and job I loved was relocating to Auckland; the opportunity to do my own thing arose and the spark was ignited.

My store is actually named after my gorgeous grandparents Walter and Alice...
I remember them well and their tiny house filled with what would now be amazing vintage, a real treasure trove..
Also much loved visits to my Aunty Janis's beautiful big old vintage-filled villa in Te Puke have inspired me to surround myself with bits of history and things that have untold stories..
My Aunty Jo would always spoil me with preloved goodies, and wonderful vintage finds..
I am very lucky to have such wonderful support in my husband, children, family and friends.
Without them putting up with my weird ways Walter Alice would not have been a dream come true..
