Matthew Baum is a photographer and arts educator based in Napa Valley, California.
He earned a BA in American history from Brown University, studied architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, and received his MFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts.

As a teacher, Matthew has been on faculty at the University of California - Davis, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
He was also co-founder and director of the VisuaLife photography education program, working with underprivileged youth in NYC.
