SD Westcoast Director, Rans Brempong has extensive basketball knowledge and experience.
Rans attended Western Carolina University on full scholarship for 5 years to play in Division 1 NCAA.
He also was a member of the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team, and played in the Olympic Qualifiers in Athens, Greece.
Rans played professionally in Germany and Holland for 6 years, where he experienced much success.
He was twice named to the All-star team in Holland, as well as leading the league in Blocks & Rebounds, He was named Dutch League Defensive Player of The Year in 2006.
He was also named All-First League by the coaches in 2006..

Rans is a student of the game and has taken his knowledge from his playing career and transferred it into his training skills.
He has played at the highest levels and understands the importance of dedication & details to get the most out of an athlete.
Rans uses a philosophy of LEARN, UNDERSTAND and APPLY to his training methodologies.
Rans also understands the mental aspect of sports, as he believes in training basketball players to THINK the game and use it as a vehicle to achieve their goals.
