Having problems with digestion since my teen years, I had consulted doctors in Virginia and Ohio, hospitals, ERs, Urgent Care, family practitioners, and specialists.
I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, generalized anxiety disorder, IBS, colitis, GERD, high cholesterol, low vitamin B and D, persistent yeast, hypothyroidism, and one wonderful doctor who had no answers went so far as to say to me: “maybe you’re just lazy and need to get up and do something!”.
After 10 years of prescription acid reducer for crushing pains in my chest from heartburn and acid reflux, synthroid for hypothyroidism, antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications, 2 cardiac event monitors, an MRI of my brain, 2 upper endoscopies, and a gall bladder ultrasound, I was medicated and continually gaining weight.
