It is situated midway between Wilkes-Barre and Scranton (USA).

Wyoming Area School District is composed of six municipalities: West Pittston, Exeter, Wyoming, West Wyoming, Harding and Falls Township, covering approximately 26sqmi primarily in Luzerne County.
