In 2010, I found 6 week old Suki, and her brother, Otis, in a dumpster behind a popular shopping center on the square here in Prescott, Arizona.
They had been thrown away like trash.
Fortunately I was able to adopt Suki and find a forever home for Otis.
Most abandoned animal stories don’t have such a happy ending, though, and that’s how the idea for Yavapai Spay & Neuter Days was born..

In 2012, my company Kastle Keeper Cleaning Services LLC raffled off a year’s worth of house cleaning, a $4300.00 prize, to generate a fund called Yavapai Spay & Neuter Days (facebook/yavapaispay&neuterdays)..

With the assistance of United Animal Friends to organize this event and the generous donation of time from Prescott Animal Hospital on March 24, 2013 we’ve been able to help 24 families here locally to date.
70% of the animals that were fixed were female.
Potentially, we prevented hundred’s (maybe even thousands) of unwanted puppies and kitties from happening here in our community.
We also were able to help 20 feral cats become Spayed or Neutered here in the city Prescott through a local Trap & Release Program..

We are holding another raffle this year to raise awareness of the importance of Spaying & Neutering in our community and to build our fund, “Yavapai Spay & Neuter Day’s.” We hope this year to help 100 families have their pet’s fixed..

We are looking for volunteers and for places to sell tickets this year.
Please consider allowing us to place a locked donation box or to sell tickets in front/inside of your business as well..
