Clarkson took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period thanks to Anthony Romano, but the two teams would head to the dressing rooms tied after Jack Billings scored on the powerplay for Niagara as the clock expired. The Golden Knights would add two more in the second and one in the third before the Purple Eagles got one back. Stanley picked up the lone helper on Ryan Cox’s second goal of the season to make it a 4-2 game.
