March 17, 2021 6:49 am KGMI MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Bellingham man died in a Tuesday crash near the Skagit Regional Airport on Higgins Airport Way. State Troopers say 25 year old Justin W. Friedrich was heading southbound toward Highway 20 from the airport when his Isuzu Rodeo crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Thomas K Chahary of Sedro-Woolley. Friedrich died at the scene, while Chahary had to be taken to Skagit Valley Hospital for his injuries. The State Patrol says it is unknown if intoxication was a factor in the crash. Featured Content
