OLYMPIA, Wash. — A man charged in a 2019 Bellingham murder is now facing action by the state Department of Health.
Now the Emergency Medical Services Program charged Rigoberto Galvan with unprofessional conduct due to the charges against him.
Galvan is listed as a Skagit County EMT.
In 2019, Galvan was charged with aggravated first-degree murder domestic violence and armed burglary after he allegedly shot his girlfriend, 22-year-old Stephanie Brenner-Cresswell, multiple times in her apartment.
Brenner-Cresswell, a WWU student, died in the August 2019 incident.
The department’s web site shows Galvan’s license still active as action is pending.
